Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
